Venue	Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre
Access	By Car From the West (e.g., Vancouver or Richmond): Drive east on Kingsway until you pass Gilley Avenue. Turn right onto Southoaks Crescent. The museum will be on your right. From the East (e.g., Coquitlam or Surrey): Drive west on Kingsway until you reach Southoaks Crescent (marked as Sperling Avenue northbound). Turn left onto Southoaks Crescent. The museum will be on your left. Parking: Free underground lot available on-site. The drive from downtown Vancouver typically takes 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic. By Public Transit The museum is well-served by TransLink (Metro Vancouver's transit system). The nearest SkyTrain station is Royal Oak Station on the Expo Line. From Royal Oak Station: Exit the station and walk southeast along Kingsway for about 15 minutes (1 km) to the corner of Kingsway and Southoaks Crescent. Alternative buses: Routes like the #19 or #22 run along Kingsway and stop near Sperling Avenue. For real-time schedules and fares, use the TransLink Trip Planner app or website (translink.ca). A single fare is around CAD $3.10 (as of 2025), and it's cashless on buses. By Walking or Cycling If you're nearby (e.g., from Royal Oak Station), it's an easy 15-minute walk along Kingsway. Burnaby has bike lanes along Kingsway; secure bike racks are available on-site. Rent bikes via Mobi (Vancouver's bike-share) if starting from downtown.
