The world-renowned Japanese composer-conductor JOE HISAISHI makes his impressive first appearance in Toronto in 2020!

Joe Hisaishi is most celebrated for his alternating touching and dynamic orchestral film scoring; a prolific Japanese composer of classical works, film scores, experimental electronic and animation music.

This symphonic concert in Toronto, Canada celebrates his long and fruitful collaboration with the master of animated cinema, Hayao Miyazaki (director of Studio Ghibli). Joe Hisaishi has worked on the music for all feature-length animated films of Studio Ghibli for 29 years since "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".
